Battling a boss halfway through Wolfenstein.
The good news is that I now know how to defeat this boss. However, knowing what you have to do and actually doing it is not as easy as you'd like it to be. The boss runs after me. I have to keep recharging this certain power on these three spots around the room to keep me able to keep battling him while he's in a certain form. If you're able to inflict enough damage on him, he then throws his waves after you; some you can duck, some you can jump over. You have a split second to do both. I'm going to be glad when I finally defeat this jerk.

I don't play many first person shooters mainly because I find boss levels to be lazy game development. Like they couldn't think of anything engaging so they throw an invincible boss at you. Spending hours getting killed by the same NPC bores me.

I wish more games were like the Dark Forces series, which had engaging stories and realistic bosses.

Yeah, that's a good point. In fact, I encountered a boss fight in a Doom game that was so insanely difficult that I thought I was going to have to give up the game. I found out there was this other way to defeat it rather than the conventional way that I was first trying.

I usually opt for God mode.

In this game, you had this absolutely huge beast that would chase you around in this circle. He was only vulnerable when this blue light appeared above his head. I was able to use this supercharged weapon to fell him with one burst at that light at the very beginning. If that doesn't work, you have to kill these flying beings that surround him and then shoot into the blue light after they're dead. The problem with that was that he was always chasing you at 80MPH, so hitting them was tough. Oh, and he shot out these fireballs, which was difficult to dodge. And even if the blue light appeared, it only appeared for a few seconds. I was never able to do hit enough times. He would just kill me by trampling me or fireball hits. It was just insane.

Oh, and I had to look up God Mode. I didn't realize it was called that. :-D
